Northwest Inc., a Mammoth, Pa.-based family-owed and operaded business, manufactures
the Aliner-the only frame fold-down travel trailer built in America, the company
reports. Ralp Tait and sons Mark, David and Doug survived the gasoline crunch
of the early "70s and after spending a short time in Bend, Ore., moved their
"hobby" back home to Pennsylvania in 1983. "Our first plant was a 5,000-spuare-foot
former school building, " relates Mark, company presdent. over the years, the
original A-frame has cotinually been re-engineered and redesigned, makeing the
present Aliner and Alite trailers both user-friendly and economical. Both
